Who We Are

Crowdsorcery was founded by pair of documentary filmmakers turned creative technologists.

Developing a feature film about a total solar eclipse, we set out to crowdsource real experiences from millions of everyday people in the path of totality. We needed a system that could ingest large files, license them upon upload, and organize them in a searchable archive built for an editor’s workflow. The solution didn’t exist. So, we built it ourselves.

The campaign was a huge success, resulting in thousands of submissions—but that wasn’t all. We also gained a vast community of participants invested in the film’s success (years before its release), and a fully-licensed archive of media visualizing more than just the eclipse: our common humanity. We haven’t stopped since.

Crowdsorcery makes the process of collecting authentic UGC and telling community-driven stories easier than ever. We collect media from real people through campaign-tailored upload portals, generate living UGC archives, and transform the content into storytelling magic for filmmakers, brands, and cultural movements worldwide.

Every campaign, regardless of the topic, visualizes our interconnectedness.

Community is your greatest content engine.
